Framed by jungled cliffs and blue ocean, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo has become a favorite destination of national and international tourists, due to the set of unique experiences it offers. At one end lies Ixtapa, which was crafted for luxury and tourism by FONATUR with its flawless beaches, gleaming high-rises, golf courses and shopping. Adjacent is the neighboring town of Zihuatanejo, a charming fishing village with charm seeping from corner. Zihuatanejo has evolved over the years, going from being a sleepy fishing village to a magical tourist town with its variety of natural spectacles. Enjoy its multiple beaches, the fishermen’s market at dawn, along with the main market and the artisanal handicraft market. There is no shortage of sophistication and luxury in Ixtapa. Here you can find two golf courses that have been the scene of world-class tournaments. The first is the recently renovated Palma Real Golf Course, and the second the Marina Ixtapa Golf Club. In other news, our city has recently expanded the bike path, which extends over 25 km long, linking both Ixtapa Zihuatanejo along one path.
