With 4 presentations in the Guelaguetza auditorium, it is a show of music, dance, dances and songs where each delegation presents a sample of its cultural heritage through dances that they perform to the sound of music and songs that are their own, wearing costumes of their respective towns. At the end of their participation, each group distributes its Guelaguetza to the public, made up of characteristic products from their respective regions.

  • DAY OF THE DEAD

The meaning of the festivity is the invocation of loved ones who have left this world, to rejoice them with offerings of food, drinks and crafts; mole, seasonal fruits, cempasúchil flowers, typical sweets, mezcal, incense and copal, are elements that come together in an atmosphere of joy and mysticism.

During the last two weeks of October and the first days of November, the city is a spectacle of colors, aromas and flavors; the main streets, the shops, the catholic temples, the cemeteries and every corner of the city offer magical and unforgettable experiences.

  • NIGHT OF RABANOS

The Night of Radishes is a festival in which market gardeners and flower growers exhibit sculptures and designs using radishes, the immortal flower and totomoxtle, to create works of art that adorn the capital’s main square.

On December 23, it brings together Oaxacans and visitors to admire the creativity that shapes such simple materials, transforming them into scenes of Oaxacan folklore and traditions.
